Eco Rights School – Admission

🇦🇲🇩🇰 Green Armenia Environmental Educational NGO and the Danish organization NOAH – Friends of the Earth Denmark (Miljøbevægelsen NOAH) invite you to participate in the two-day Eco Rights School workshop.
📌 The program is implemented with the support of the Civil Society Fund (CISU), financed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark.
🎯 What does the workshop offer?
During the workshop, participants will become familiar with:
⚖️ The principles of environmental law and the fundamental right to live in a healthy environment,
🛠 Legal tools for environmental and public participation and their practical application,
🚫 Recognition of SLAPP (Strategic Lawsuits Against Public Participation) cases and methods of protection against them,
🤝 Forms of community mobilization, legal campaign planning, and resistance strategies.
🇦🇲🇫🇷 The workshop will be led by experienced lawyers and specialists in the field of environmental law and litigation from Armenia and France.
🌿 Who can participate?
• Students
• Activists
• Journalists
• Civil society representatives
• Residents of affected communities, particularly from the Vayots Dzor, Gegharkunik, and Syunik regions

📩 Applicants will be informed of the results on June 15, 2025.
🎓 Selected participants will receive certificates and join the Eco Rights School Alumni Network.
🏆 Additional opportunities
A number of follow-up meetings and events are planned for the School’s alumni between July–September:
🎬 Screenings and discussions of award-winning international documentaries, provided by our Danish partner THE WHY Foundation. Screenings will take place both during the workshop and at later alumni meetings.
💬 Discussions on environmental topics, where participants will present their experiences, ideas, and community initiatives.
🎉 Alumni will also have the opportunity to involve their friends, community members, and colleagues in events accompanied by refreshments, in order to spread the knowledge gained about environmental rights more widely.
